Objectives
- Ascertain the incidence of adverse events (AEs) and of patients with any AE in Spain’s hospitals.
- Establish the percentage of AEs which occur within the pre-hospitalization period.
- Describe the direct causes of the AEs.
- Define the preventable AEs.
- Know what impact AEs have in terms of disability, exitus and/or lengthening hospital stays.
